Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a rare and aggressive pediatric brain tumor that develops in the pons, a part of the brainstem responsible for many of the body's essential functions. Because the tumor grows within healthy brain tissue, it cannot usually be removed through surgery.

DIPG primarily affects children and remains one of the most challenging childhood cancers to treat. While advances in research have improved our understanding of the disease, there is currently no cure. Families facing a DIPG diagnosis often rely on specialized medical teams, clinical research, and the support of their communities as they navigate their journey.

At Hope for Angelica, we believe that education, compassion, and awareness can help honor every child affected by DIPG and remind families that they are never alone.
